Stratum Asset Intelligence was founded on a simple observation: drone vendors capture incredible data on a one-off flight, but the data never trends and rarely reaches the maintenance system that triggers a repair. We run programs instead.

They need a recurring inspection program that delivers severity-rated, work-order-ready findings into their CMMS — with the right asset tags, location codes, photo evidence, and trend data so that maintenance and capital decisions are defensible across cycles.
Stratum exists to run that program. We combine FAA-certified drone operations, deep enterprise maintenance systems expertise, and practical regulatory awareness — including formal public comments on FAA BVLOS rulemaking and FCC commercial drone hardware regulation — with owner-operated accountability and a cadence-based model so inspections become a continuous program, not a one-time event.

Stratum's principal brings 20+ years of experience implementing and integrating enterprise asset management platforms — Microsoft Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, FIIX, and UpKeep among them. We understand the data models, APIs, and workflows that drive maintenance operations, so the program is designed backward from what your CMMS actually needs.
Drone Operations Certified
FAA Part 107 certified with experience in commercial roof inspections, thermal imaging, and aerial photogrammetry. We don't just fly drones — we design recurring inspection programs that produce data structured for system integration from the first cycle.
Drone operations training completed through Pilot Institute, including FAA Part 107 and specialized photo and video coursework.

Owner-operated means the person responsible for your program is the person on site flying it — not a national platform's account manager handing the job to a rotating subcontractor. Regional focus also gives us deep familiarity with the facility types, climate, and roofing systems common to the region.

Justin Birch
Founder & Principal — Stratum Asset Intelligence LLC
Justin brings more than 20 years of enterprise solution architecture to Stratum. His career has been defined not by mastery of any single platform, but by the discipline of understanding how organizations actually operate before a line of configuration is written. In complex ERP, CMMS, and CRM engagements, no two implementations look alike — the software is almost always shaped by years of process decisions, workarounds, and institutional knowledge that never appear in a vendor's documentation. Justin's role has consistently been to surface that complexity, architect around it, and deliver systems that reflect how people actually work.
Before founding Stratum, Justin served as a Solution Architect at MCA Connect, one of Microsoft's premier Dynamics 365 consulting partners — leading implementations where asset data integrity, system integration, and operational continuity were non-negotiable requirements.
Stratum was built on a straightforward conviction: the gap between a drone inspection and a structured maintenance work order is an integration problem — and integration is what Justin has spent his career solving. Stratum is owner-operated, FAA Part 107 certified, and based in Greater Cleveland, Ohio.
